The quotes above perfectly summarize the state of Planet Earth circa 2023.

Those of us in possession of conscience and integrity have become so weary we can barely hold our heads up, because we see greed and cruelty rising to the top like the foam on a beer mug. It’s the first thing we notice, the foam. It’s so in-your-face, it’s easy to forget how insubstantial it really is. Its structure is literally built on air, and it will dissipate with time, collapsing from its own unsupported weight.

The final end to the political turmoil may not happen in my lifetime, because I’m an old fart and getting older. Such is life.

However, history tracks the ultimate overthrow of oligarchies and despotism. I suspect when it happens this time, it will happen with breathtaking speed.

Despite the seemingly huge numbers supporting a feudalistic emperor-wannabe, they aren’t the majority. What’s more, their minority is dwindling. Time is not on their side. It’s a big, heavy pendulum, its weighted disc sharp, deadly, precise, and inevitable as a guillotine.
