I lifted this blog from Terri’s page. Some of the questions were fun, othes a little more insightful than the average meme.

- What does your blogging name mean?
PoundHeadHere was the name of my first website, a forum on Delphi, back in the era of the X-Files. It was a whimsical way of telling people to express themselves, and became sort of synonymous with speaking my mind freely. - How many people subscribe to your blog?
I was surprised. I have 6 potentially active, though WordPress lists 8 total. I got a little catch in my throat to see Poolie’s name still there. They also list me as one of my own followers, though, so… - What is your favorite dessert?
This is insanely subjective, because it depends on my mood. Some days nothing but cinnamon will do; other days I’m all about chocolate; some days it’s caramel or nothing; and some days I’ll crave lemon pudding. Those are the Big Four, but I’m also a sucker for apple pie or apple crisp (apart from the cinnamon it contains), cherry pie, butter pecan ice cream (albeit preferably drizzled with caramel) and the list goes on. Now if you’d asked me which was my favorite DQ treat, I would’ve answered in a heartbeat: the Turtle Blizzard made with chocolate soft-serve. - What is your favorite word? Explain why.
Not one word – three words. The words “I love you” will always be the most beautiful words in the English language, whether they come from my husband, my children, or my grandchildren. Though to be fair, I prefer them accompanied by a heartfelt hug. - Poetry – do you write or read or just skip it altogether?
I don’t write poetry often, though I do write it from time to time. And I do read it, but I’m picky about it and have to be in the mood, which doesn’t roll around often. - If your life was made into a movie, what actor/actress would portray you?
Good question. Personality wise, probably Kathy Bates. She can do scary, funny, and compassionate. Heck, she can do anything. Appearance wise, probably Glenn Close. When I was younger I was told we looked a lot alike. - If you could change your name what would you change it to?
When I was younger I wanted to change my name. I got over it. - Your house is on fire. You can save only one material possession. What will you save?
Probably my phone. Our family photos, all my writing, etc. are backed up online, but if my house were on fire I’d want to call the fire department pronto! - If you could have any career (success is guaranteed), what would you want to do?
I used to say I wanted to be a best-selling author. I still like the idea, but want to take it a step further. I want to be a publisher for SEVERAL best-selling authors. I’d still write on the side, but I love helping other people succeed, too! - You can have any super power. What super power do you choose?
I had to think about this one, because my instincts toggled between healing people and helping lift people out of poverty. The two are intertwined. Being healed is a temporary fix if you’re in abject poverty. But by the same token, financial stability is meaningless if you’re critically ill. So I had to find a compromise. I’d simply ask for the power and the wisdom to help people in whatever way is best for them. - Which would you choose – a trip to the moon, a tour of the ocean’s floor, an expedition into the center of the earth? Explain your choice.
I’m assuming for each of these, it’s predicated on going and returning safely. Otherwise the trip to the center of the earth is an immediate nope, without even having to think about it. If I were certain I could do any of them safely, I don’t know which I’d choose.- The center of the earth is an unknown. We’ve never been. We can only speculate, so actually knowing what it’s like is an incredible goal.
- The moon is always a magnificent choice. There have only been a small handful of men who stepped foot on the surface of the moon. I would love to be the first woman there, but would also like to go for its own sake.
- And a tour of the ocean’s floor holds the promise of new discoveries every time you go. So how do you choose?
I won’t tag anyone, but would love to see your take on the questions, on your blog or FB or wherever.
